About Us/Opening Times

The Stables Inn has been welcoming travellers and guests for over 340 years.  The pub is an original Drovers' Inn built specifically to cater for the needs of farmers driving to market from Wales, over Stapeley Hill  (keeping the famous Callow Hill in sight) down past the pub and on towards Shrewsbury market.  The pub still has many farmers as customers but you're more likely to see a 4x4 or a tractor in the car park than a herd of sheep or cows.

We are dog friendly and have our very own small dog, who will be more than happy to greet you at the door. Well behaved dogs, same rule for humans, are very welcome in the bar but we ask that you keep them on a lead especially during food times.

We serve our main menu Wednesday - Saturday and our Sunday Roasts every Sunday unless otherwise stated.

Opening hours:

Monday & Tuesday - closed

Wednesday & Thursday from 5pm

Friday & Saturday from 12pm - 10pm

Sunday from 12pm until approx. 7pm (serving food until 3:30pm).

*Please be aware that due to the current cost of living changes, we will at times close earlier than expected to avoid any unnecessary electricity charges.

Please do call ahead of your visit to check our opening times and do also book in for food on: 01743891344.

If you are part of a group of 10 or more and are looking to visit us outside of our opening hours, please get in contact either by phone or email and we will do our best to accommodate you.
