Your very own Shepherd's hut overlooking the Stiperstones Hills, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.  Custom built for the pub in 2013 by a local craftsman, the shepherd's hut is a real "get away from it all" experience.  The hut comes complete with a double bed, electricity, log burner, BBQ, firepit and tea & coffee making facilities.  From August 2026, we have updated the garden area and the hut is now boasting a brand new outdoor relaxation area including a luxury wood fired hot tub, a cold plunge pool and an extra seating area; your very own rural retreat. Perfect for a post hike relax & recovery session or much needed countryside retreat. Just to make your stay even more comfortable we have built a shower cabin just a few feet from your door - you can enjoy all the comforts of a luxury bathroom but still live the simple life.  You can enjoy a BBQ with a glass of wine watching the hills change colour before your eyes, as the sun slowly sets in the west.  Alternatively, the pub is directly behind you, book in for a fresh homemade meal; you will be warmly welcomed and looked after. This is a perfect way to enjoy the Shropshire countryside, Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter, two days are never the same here in "Old Salop".
