Come and stay in our Country Inn.  In the 18th & 19th Century this original drovers’ inn was licensed for 11 beds. We have since completely renovated the upstairs sleeping accommodation and now offer three luxury bedrooms. Once you go through your private original 17th century doorway you will be greeted with a wealth of old original oak beams, low doorways and local stone walls. After a restful sleep, you can enjoy your day sightseeing, independent shopping in the local towns, walking or relaxing after a hard slog around the Shropshire hills. You will have a beautiful view of the famous Stiperstones hills from the bathrooms and also views of the Shropshire Hills area of Outstanding Natural Beauty countryside and towards Wales, from the main bedrooms. The rooms are all double glazed and centrally heated.  All of our rooms have luxurious mattresses, goose down duvets and plenty of comfy pillows for a great nights sleep.​

• Don’t pack any towels; we have plenty here waiting for you, same goes for a hairdryer, iron & ironing board, on request.​

• Tea and coffee facilities are available in your room.   ​

• ​Breakfast is usually from 9am. It’s your time away from the rat race so indulge yourselves!  Please book in advance if you would like to add this on to your stay.​​

This is a chance to stay in a real pub, with real people who enjoy a quiet drink, great food with good company around a roaring log fire. From upstairs, in the early evening you may hear the sound of laughter, good conversation and the odd card game being enjoyed amongst friends and family.
